The Role 


Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Accounts Payable Clerk plays a key role in supporting the Finance team by handling day-to-day accounts payable activities with accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on AP experience who is looking to further develop their accounting skills in a collaborative and supportive environment. 


Key Responsibilities 


  • Process vendor invoices, credit notes, and employee expense reports accurately and in a timely manner 
  • Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documentation 

  • Ensure invoices are properly coded, reviewed, and approved in accordance with company policies 

  • Assist with payment runs, including EFT, ACH, wire transfers, and cheques 

  • Reconcile vendor statements and investigate and resolve discrepancies 

  • Maintain accurate, complete, and well-organized accounts payable records 

  • Support month-end close activities related to accounts payable 

  • Respond to vendor and internal inquiries professionally and promptly 

  • Perform all other duties related to accounts payable processes, as required 

      Qualifications & Experience 

    • Post-secondary education or coursework in accounting, finance, or business 
    • 1–3 years of experience in accounts payable, accounting, or a related clerical role
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
    • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and accounting systems
    • Experience with Sage Intacct is preferred
