What You Will Do:

  • The role involves both technical and commercial analysis, with the unique ability to dive into technical scope review with industry-leading domain experts as well as drive consequential change at a program level through evaluating business needs with varying commercial partners.

  • Drive execution performance by collaborating with partners, identifying cost savings opportunities, implementing takeaways from past projects, and embrace innovation for continual improvement.

  • Lead the project teams to meet shared project objectives. Sponsorship functions include monitoring the active Pipeline Integrity threat remediation projects, reporting and change-management activities, advancing issues as appropriate, and working with the project teams to set up performance metrics and identify / progress cost savings initiatives.

  • Actively sponsor projects from scope initiation, development, execution, through to final in-service. This includes the compilation and analyses of project documentation, managing completion of related Engineering assessments as required, as well as participation in the gating process, design reviews, commissioning, asset acceptance, and long-term operational review activities.
     

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering and registered as a Professional Engineer with APEGA is required.

  • Seven years of post-graduate, industry-related experience including integrity engineering, asset management, pipeline operations, and/or project management.

  • Proven ability to independently lead or influence multi-disciplinary teams tasked with resolving technical and business challenges.

  • You thrive in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment where effective prioritization of tasks is key.

  • An effective communicator, proficient in verbal and written communication to a variety of audiences including peers, management, and external partners. The ability to facilitate, collaborate and negotiate with internal partners.

  • Experience in project management. A Project Management (PMI) designation is an asset.
     

Working Conditions:

  • Office based, with up to 10% travel in Canada and the US. Must have a valid passport to travel and work in the US.
