BUILD YOUR CAREER AT FCC CANADA

With 125 years of experience, the FCC Group's Infrastructure Division is present in 25 countries, and its activities cover all areas of engineering and construction. It is a leader in the execution of transport infrastructure, as well as in residential and non-residential construction. FCC Construcción is currently the fourth-largest construction company in Spain in terms of contract volume and ranks among the top 30 in the world, according to the international magazine ENR (Engineering News-Record).

FCC Construcción, through its subsidiary FCC Canada, has been present in Canada for more than 25 years. In 1998, it was awarded the contract for the construction, operation, and maintenance of the Fredericton-Moncton motorway. In 2011, it was awarded the contract to the extension of a section of the Toronto subway expansion, the city's first modern subway infrastructure project. This project was completed in 2019.

In Canada, FCC is proud to be actively involved in multiple projects across Ontario and British Columbia aimed at improving public transportation and infrastructure.

North End Connectors (YNSE)

FCC Canada's most recent consortium awarded, in which FCC holds a 33.3% share, is responsible for the design, construction, and financing of the tunnel subway project in Toronto, Ontario.

North End Connectors, formed by FCC Canada (a subsidiary of FCC Construcción), Aecon, and Ghella, will design and construct a tunnel section of approximately 6.3 kilometres, an at-grade section along the existing railway corridor in the northern section, launch and extraction shafts, and headwalls for buildings and emergency exit stations.

The scope of work also includes the supply of tunnel boring machines, the installation of tunnel linings, and ancillary activities. Once the design development phase is complete, construction is expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2026 and be completed in 2030.

The project will extend the TTC's Line 1 subway service by approximately 8 kilometres from the current terminus at Toronto's Finch Station to the York Region, including sections through Markham, Vaughan, and Richmond Hill.

Further information about the project is available on the Infrastructure Ontario and Metrolinx websites.

These projects reinforce FCC Construccion's strong presence in the Canadian market.

Join us at FCC Canada to be part of our groundbreaking projects and advance your career in a dynamic work environment.
