Join our team as a Senior Windows Systems Administrator supporting our Data Center Operational Support Services (OSS) team. You will play a crucial role in provisioning and managing virtual environments with VMware and configuring Windows Operating Systems. Your expertise will ensure that all system hardware, software, and procedures align with our design and architecture. You will also contribute to technical analysis and assist in testing and deploying new patches, making a significant impact as we transition systems from development to operational readiness. Key Responsibilities: Perform software installations and upgrades for Windows operating systems and applications in line with policies, procedures, and service level agreements. Manage and maintain a Windows domain, including updating and creating group policy objects as required. Troubleshoot issues related to hardware, software, and wide area networks for assigned Enterprise systems. Coordinate with vendors to resolve technical issues, arrange services, and obtain support as needed. Install and provide support for internal development software and applications. Implement and maintain a system backup schedule to ensure data/media recoverability. Conduct regular audits of hardware and software for compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines. Direct proactive and reactive systems administration activities to ensure systems' availability, integrity, and reliability. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or a related field, with at least 6 years of relevant experience; or a Master's degree with a minimum of 4 years of experience. At least 5 years of experience in network systems administration, focusing on Windows Operating Systems and servers. Minimum 3 years of experience with automation platforms such as WSUS, PowerShell, and Ansible. Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance. Willingness to work onsite at our office located in Melbourne, Florida; remote work is not an option. Availability to participate in on-call rotations, with a maximum response time of one hour on site. Capability to support maintenance requests during weekends, evenings, or overnight as needed. Ability to travel to disaster recovery sites for support as necessary. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in complex infrastructure design involving multiple application interactions (HA, DB, Large Networks). Proficiency in scripting for automation of tools. Familiarity with applications such as SMB, NFS, Client, KMS, Certificate Authority, and VMware vSphere products.
