Border Security Specialist

The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is seeking highly skilled individuals to fill the position of Border Patrol Agent . As a member of this elite team, you will play a critical role in safeguarding our nation's borders and preventing illicit activities.

• Detect and apprehend undocumented noncitizens and smugglers at or near the border using advanced surveillance techniques, including infrared scopes during night operations.


• Inspect documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations.

To succeed in this challenging yet rewarding role, applicants must possess certain skills and qualifications. These include:

• A minimum one year of general work experience demonstrating leadership capabilities, decision-making skills, and composure under stress; OR
• A bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement; OR One full year of graduate-level education related to law enforcement from an accredited college or university;
