About the Job
The U.S. Border Patrol is seeking highly skilled and dedicated individuals to join their team as Law Enforcement Officers (LEOs). As a BPA, you will be responsible for protecting America by safeguarding our borders, deterring illicit activity, and enhancing national economic prosperity.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Detects and questions people suspected of violating immigration and customs laws
- Prevents undocumentation noncitizens smuggling at or near the borders through surveillance from covert positions using infrared scopes during night operations
- Interprets physical evidence such as tracks marks etc.
- Patrols international boundary coastal waterways on various government assets like vehicles horses vessels ATVs snowmobiles motorcycles etc.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
tp • Candidate must possess one year general work experience that demonstrates ability to take charge make sound decisions maintain composure in stressful situations learn regulations methods techniques classroom training job instruction gather concise information questioning observation documents records OR Possess Bachelor degree four-year course study leading bachelor degree accredited college university Combination Experience Education combination general work AND successfully completed college education calculated resume transcripts application. • For GL-7 grade level candidate must possess specialized work experience demonstrating necessary skills: judgments arrests firearms dealing people law enforcement matters analyzing rapidly making prompt decisions applying these skills criminal code correctional rehabilitation security military fields, “),
