This specialist school provides a nurturing and supportive environment for young people with Autism and/or dyslexia. The calm, inspiring setting provides the perfect environment for young people with Autism and/or dyslexia to thrive. With small class sizes, therapeutic support, and a personalised approach to learning, pupils are encouraged to build confidence, resilience, and independence, while developing the skills they need for life beyond the classroom.
The school is seeking proactive and passionate Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to provide both educational and personal support to pupils. This role is ideal for trainees and graduates who are eager to pursue a career in special education. Candidates with a background in Psychology are particularly encouraged to apply, though applications from individuals with a wide range of experience are welcome.
Previous school-based experience is not essential, as full training and support will be provided. However, some experience with Autism, whether personal or professional, is highly valued. Experienced LSAs are also encouraged to apply, as there are roles with higher responsibilities and salaries available.
About the role
- Earn a minimum of £400 per week
- Full-time positions available
- Provide 1:1 support for pupils with additional needs or lower ability
- Support small group work and targeted interventions

- Develop knowledge of the national curriculum and specialist strategies for pupils with additional needs

- Have experience working with students
- Be confident in managing behaviour effectively
- Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils
- Bring a fun, approachable, and firm presence
- Be passionate about supporting young people with additional needs
