We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Customs and Border Protection Officer. As a CBPO, you will play a vital role in safeguarding the nation's borders, facilitating trade and travel, and enforcing laws related to customs, immigration, and agriculture.
As a member of the Department of Homeland Security workforce, you will have the opportunity to work with an elite team of law enforcement professionals who are committed to protecting America. You will be responsible for conducting inspections of individuals and conveyances, determining admissibility for entry into the United States, preventing illegal entry and smuggling activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in law enforcement or related field
- Ability to make rapid judgments and decisions regarding import/export regulations
- Familiarity with intelligence techniques for identifying potential threats
- Strong communication skills for interviewing suspects
Benefits:
persons appointed as Customs Officers (as defined in 5 CFR ) may be offered up to $15, 7000 incentive per year for three years service contract at certain duty locations,
