Responsibilities:
- Detecting and questioning individuals suspected of violating immigration laws, inspecting documents and possessions for citizenship or violations
- Preventing undocumented noncitizens, smugglers of noncitizens at or near the borders using surveillance from covert positions with infrared scopes during night operations
- Interpreting tracks, marks, physical evidence of illegal entry persons or contraband
- Farm checks building traffic city patrols transportation checks patrolling international boundary coastal waterways government assets vehicles horses vessels watercraft off-road vehicles ATVs snowmobiles motorcycles USBP Mission accomplishment
Qualifications Required:
pThe position requires one (1) year general work experience demonstrating ability take charge make sound decisions maintain composure stressful situations learn regulations methods techniques classroom training on-the-job instruction gather concise information through questioning observation examination documents records OR bachelor degree successful completion full four-year course study leading bachelor degree accredited college university Combination Experience Education calculated resume official unofficial transcripts submitted application.
