About the Position
This is a hands-on senior role with a clear path to Accounting Manager in 1 to 2 years and Director in 3 to 5 years. You'll work closely with a founder, mentor junior staff, improve systems and workflows, and play a meaningful role in scaling the business.

What we're looking for
5+ years' experience as an Intermediate or Senior Accountant
Strong knowledge of Canadian accounting and corporate tax (CRA access required)
Experience with QuickBooks Online and Google Sheets
Comfortable owning work, communicating with clients, and leading by example
CPA not required
What you'll do
Manage full-cycle accounting and year-end adjustments for incorporated clients
Finalize CRA filings (GST/HST, T4, T5, T2, and T1)
Review reconciliations and client files
Support client onboarding and historical clean-ups
Mentor junior team members and help improve processes
Maintain and enhance client relations through phone, email and mainly cbox app chat.
Complete weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual file reviews.
Guide, mentor and teach junior staff.
Ensure security and integrity within work function.

Who you'll work with
Primary internal relationships are with operational team and management and secondary with app developers.
The primary external relationships are with clients, CRA and occasional contact with software support.
What you've done
You have a bachelor's degree in accounting or business with at least 5 years as an intermediate accountant or equivalent combination of education and experience.
