What this role is all about:
The Assistant Branch Manager promotes service excellence by supporting the Branch Managers and AVPs in establishing and achieving an exceptional member experience by managing employee development and performance. You are a strong coach and team leader, and utilizes the internal sales model to help guide employees in driving their success. The Assistant Branch Manager is also an established community partner, developing and maintaining relationships with local businesses and individuals to build Beem Credit Union's overall business.
This role will be based out of our beautiful Nordel Crossing branch, located in Surrey, BC.
What you'll do:
Builds and leads a cohesive sales and service team, ensuring performance processes and developmental opportunities are established and implemented to promote team success.
Leads all direct reports; provides coaching to build capabilities, foster professional development and maximize employee engagement
In partnership with the Branch Manager, oversees the day to day operation of the branch including execution of branch business plan and ensuring targets for loan and investment portfolios are met.
Advises members on personal and business financial management, debt management and investment planning.
Ensures adherence to all credit policies and risk management processes including approvals and discretionary lending limits.
Supports branch team in building relationships with community referral sources to promote Beem and grow business, collaborating with other branches departments, external network and local community.
Ensures branch team is consistently and effectively representing and delivering the Gulf & Fraser's brand and service standards.
Establishes a high personal standard of performance and service by actively participating in other duties assigned, including educational seminars and training programs.
A little about your qualifications:
5-7 years' progressive sales experience in a financial institution
Post-secondary business degree or diploma is an asset
Successful completion of Financial Planning I and CUIC 210, plus additional related courses
Prior experience leading a sales team is preferred
Equivalent combination of the above may be appropriate
Compensation
Annual salary range: $77,400 - $85,000
