THE OPPORTUNITY
With exciting new opportunities and partnerships, Impact Energy is seeking a Project Coordinator, to join our Team, based out of our Saskatoon, SK location. The Project Coordinator will oversee the execution and completion of all electrical projects; collaborating with others to develop comprehensive electrical designs and solutions; conducting on-site evaluations of electrical systems and regular site inspections. You will
also manage client's expectations, to ensure Impact Energy's brand promise of being the most responsive, trusted and professional electrical contractor is upheld. This position will be based out of our Saskatoon Office.
Our team would love to hear from you if you:
✓ Hold a valid Interprovincial Red Seal Certification as a Construction Electrician
✓ Have 2 years experience with commercial electrical installation, with a strong knowledge of the construction industry, including material, installation techniques, interpreting draws and electrical code
✓ Have strong computer skills, with programs such as Word, Excel, BlueBeam and other construction related programs
✓ Critical thinking, time management and problem-solving abilities
✓ Excellent communicator, interpersonal, and leadership skills
✓ A safety advocate and committed to quality standards in all project activities
✓ The ability to manage multiple projects, and a proficiency in project management software and tools
✓ Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with co-workers, consultants, subcontractors and vendors
✓ Complete a Criminal Record Check
✓ Hold a valid Class 5 Driver's License
THE WORK
You will be responsible for leading project excellence by:
✓ Setting up projects in Project Management Software (Jonas).
✓ Creating and distributing project contact list.
✓ Executing and overseeing electrical projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to project specifications, timelines, and budget constraints.
✓ Collaborating with Electrical Foremen, Project Managers, Consultants, and other stakeholders to develop comprehensive electrical designs and solutions.
✓ Developing and implementing Electrical Field Installation Work Packages, Schedules.
✓ Managing and coordinating the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical equipment and systems, including on-site assessments to evaluate electrical systems, identify potential issues, and propose efficient solutions.
✓ Reviewing and interpreting electrical drawings, specifications, and schematics to ensure accurate implementation of project requirements.
✓ Collaborating with Subcontractors and Vendors to source and procure electrical materials and equipment, considering cost-effectiveness and project specifications.
✓ Issuing contracts to Subcontractors.
✓ Requesting, distributing, and filing Requests for Information (RFI), Change Order Request (COR), Change Order Directive (COD), Shope Drawing Review, and other information required.
✓ Assisting with Change Order Process, including pricing, processing, and assessing cost and schedule impacts.
✓ Working with Accounting Team and Project Manager, in the preparation, submission and follow up of monthly invoices.
✓ Maintaining comprehensive project documentation, including as-built drawings, equipment manuals, and project reports.
✓ Overseeing the completion and distribution of the Client/Owner Hand Over Packages.
✓ Completing the input and submission of hours worked into Field Time and Daily Client Labour, Equipment and Material (LEM) report.
