Location - This position is in-person and is located in Edmonton, Alberta in the Oral Health Clinic at the Kaye Edmonton Clinic. 

The Mike Petryk School of Dentistry invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track faculty position in the DDS Program in the discipline of Comprehensive Care.  The successful candidate will be responsible for clinical and didactic teaching at the undergraduate level. The primary assignment for this position will be as a Comprehensive Care (CC) DDS Lead (0.6 FTE) with additional duties to be assigned.  Internal applicants are welcome to apply.

Comprehensive Care Model Background

Four teams of undergraduate students under the supervision of faculty, provide comprehensive dental care for members of the public at the Mike Petryk School of Dentistry's Oral Health Clinic in Kaye Edmonton Clinic. Each team is led by an experienced general practitioner, the CC Director, and includes dental and dental hygiene students, a DDS Lead, a DH Lead, and a treatment coordinator. Additional faculty (full-time, part-time, generalist and specialist) and staff (clinical and administrative) support all four teams.

The Comprehensive Care (CC) DDS Lead has the role of clinical instructor and student mentor for Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) students within the CC Team. The lead is responsible for promoting student-focused learning and patient-centered care in the DDS Program at the University of Alberta, School of Dentistry.

This is a Full-time, 1.0 FTE, contract under the Academic Teaching Staff (ATS) Agreement. Academic rank and salary will be based on the applicant's credentials and experience. The position start date is flexible based on applicant availability.
