Entuitive is looking for an Intermediate Structural Engineer, based in our Edmonton office. Take the opportunity to learn more about the structural engineering service at Entuitive. What will you do?
- Structural engineering design and calculations for all structural components including columns, beams, slabs, foundations, and lateral systems.
- Design and engineering using materials such as structural steel, concrete, masonry, cold formed structural steel, and wood.
- Works to assemble and coordinate engineering drawings and contract documents in collaboration with our BIM technologists and other members of the engineering team.
- Conduct field reviews and other contract administrative duties.
- Drafts project-related correspondence as needed.
- Participates in project meetings facilitating solutions to design issues and challenges and providing status updates.
- Collaboration with architectural, electrical, mechanical, contractor, subtrades, and other project team members throughout the project life..
- Mentors junior staff with design and delivery elements of a project to ensure standards are upheld.
Requirements
What do you need to succeed?
- An engineering degree with a focus on structural engineering, coupled with 6-8 years of professional experience in the engineering consulting industry.
- A post graduate degree is considered as an asset.
- P.Eng. or eligible to register in Alberta.
- Must have a practical knowledge of the Canadian Building Code and design standards
- Must have a working knowledge and ability to use structural analysis and design software .
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to work with project teams .
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities and deliverables on an ongoing basis.

Compensation, Benefits, & Total Rewards

- Competitive base salary: $73,000 – $100,000 (aligned with experience, qualifications, and education)
