We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Warehouse Supervisor to lead our team in Jacksonville, Florida. As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and productivity within our logistics hub. Your leadership skills will be crucial in motivating your team, optimizing workflow, and upholding our high standards for operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise, train, and mentor warehouse staff, including pickers, packers, forklift operators, and clerks.
- Oversee daily warehouse activities, including receiving, put-away, order picking, packing, and shipping.
- Ensure all operations are conducted safely and in compliance with company policies and OSHA regulations.
- Manage inventory levels and conduct regular cycle counts to maintain accuracy.
- Implement and enforce strict safety protocols, ensuring all team members use appropriate PPE.
- Optimize warehouse layout and workflows to improve efficiency and reduce costs within the logistics chain.
- Monitor and manage team performance, setting clear expectations and providing regular feedback.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain equipment and facilities, ensuring a safe and functional work environment.
- Handle any operational issues or emergencies that may arise, implementing effective solutions.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in warehouse supervision or management.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse operations, logistics, and supply chain management.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and experience implementing safety programs.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Commitment to wearing required PPE and enforcing its use among staff.
