Join our vibrant logistics hub as a Receiving Clerk in Las Vegas, Nevada! We are looking for a meticulous and organized individual to manage the inbound flow of goods into our warehouse. This role is fundamental to our operations, ensuring all incoming shipments are accurately received, inspected, and processed. You will play a key part in maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting the efficient functioning of our supply chain.
Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming shipments, verifying quantities and contents against purchase orders and shipping documents.
- Inspect goods for damage, discrepancies, or defects, documenting any issues.
- Unload trucks and containers safely using appropriate equipment, if necessary.
- Accurately record received goods into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Tag and label received items for proper put-away.
- Communicate with suppliers and internal departments regarding shipment status and discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the use of required PPE.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, such as inventory control or order staging.
- Support the overall logistics and operational efficiency of the warehouse.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a receiving or warehouse environment is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with WMS software is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
- Understanding of warehouse safety procedures is essential.
- Willingness to wear required PPE, such as safety vests and gloves.
- Knowledge of logistics and inventory management principles is beneficial.
