As a Picker/Packer, you will play a crucial role in our logistics operations by accurately selecting items for customer orders and meticulously packing them for shipment. This hands-on position demands accuracy, speed, and a strong commitment to quality. You'll be responsible for ensuring that orders are picked correctly and packed safely to prevent damage during transit. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products based on order sheets or scanning technology.
- Inspect picked items for quality and condition before packing.
- Select appropriate packaging materials and box sizes for secure shipment.
- Pack orders efficiently to maximize space and minimize damage.
- Apply shipping labels and prepare packages for dispatch.
- Organize and stage completed orders for the shipping department.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workspace, contributing to overall warehouse organization.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times.
- Report any stock discrepancies or equipment issues to supervisors.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in order picking, packing, or warehouse work is advantageous.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Excellent attention to detail for accurate order fulfillment.
- Understanding of basic logistics and warehouse operations.
- Capacity to work at a fast pace while maintaining accuracy.
- Strong commitment to safety and following instructions.
