Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist for our Raleigh, North Carolina facility. In this key role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory data. Your duties will include conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, implementing inventory control procedures, and ensuring optimal stock levels. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, a meticulous attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of warehouse operations and logistics. Your expertise will be crucial in minimizing stockouts, reducing inventory holding costs, and ensuring efficient order fulfillment. Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
  • Develop and implement procedures to improve inventory accuracy.
  • Monitor stock levels and identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory.
  • Ensure proper storage and organization of all inventory items.
  • Utilize inventory management software to track stock movements and report on inventory status.
  • Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to optimize inventory flow.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and enforce safety regulations, including the correct use of PPE.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend improvements.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of inventory management principles and best practices.
  • Proficiency with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) and ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to perform lifting of up to 40 lbs as required.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Understanding of logistics and supply chain operations.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
