In this role, you will be instrumental in fulfilling customer orders by accurately selecting items from warehouse shelves and preparing them for packing and shipment. You'll work with state-of-the-art scanning technology and operate various material handling equipment to ensure efficiency and accuracy. Responsibilities:
- Use handheld scanners to locate and retrieve items for customer orders.
- Verify product codes and quantities against order slips.
- Transport picked items to designated packing or staging areas.
- Operate order picking machinery, such as forklifts or electric pallet jacks, if trained and certified.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by updating the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Ensure all products are handled with care to prevent damage.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety protocols and procedures, including the proper use of PPE .
- Participate in regular inventory audits and cycle counts.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of picking areas and assigned sections of the warehouse.
- Must be capable of consistent Lifting of items up to 40 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse environment is advantageous.
- Proficiency with barcode scanners and WMS software is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
- Commitment to prioritizing Safety in all tasks.
- Team player mentality and good communication skills.
