We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk for our Charlotte, North Carolina location. In this critical role, you will manage the efficient processing and dispatch of all outgoing shipments, playing a vital part in our logistics operations. Your responsibilities will include preparing accurate shipping documentation, coordinating with shipping carriers, verifying order details, and ensuring compliance with all shipping regulations. A meticulous approach and a commitment to accuracy are essential for success. Safety is paramount in our warehouse; therefore, strict adherence to all safety protocols and the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) are required. This role involves regular Lifting of packages, typically up to 40 pounds, and requires the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:
- Process and prepare all outbound shipments accurately.
- Generate shipping labels and necessary documentation.
- Coordinate with carriers for shipment pickups and track deliveries.
- Verify order contents against shipping manifests.
- Ensure packages are properly secured and labeled.
- Maintain organized shipping areas and records.
- Comply with all company policies and shipping regulations.
- Communicate shipping updates to relevant departments.
- Assist with inventory management and quality control checks.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or a similar role is preferred.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting (up to 40 lbs).
- Exceptional organizational skills and high attention to detail.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety procedures and the use of PPE.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in computer systems, including shipping software.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure.
