Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Material Handler to join our distribution center in Jacksonville, Florida. In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient and safe movement of materials, products, and supplies within the warehouse. This includes operating forklifts and other heavy machinery, loading and unloading trucks, and organizing inventory. Your contribution is vital to our logistics operations, ensuring timely processing of goods and maintaining a high standard of workplace Safety.
Responsibilities:
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other powered industrial trucks to move, gather, sort, and stage materials.
  • Load and unload materials onto and from trucks, pallets, and other transport devices.
  • Transport materials to and from production, storage, or other designated areas.
  • Stack and pile salvaged materials or products, such as boxes or crates.
  • Inspect equipment for defects and perform basic maintenance.
  • Assist with inventory control procedures, including cycle counts and placement.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow all established Safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Wear and maintain all required PPE.
  • Ensure the efficient flow of materials throughout the logistics chain.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Proven experience as a Material Handler, with a valid forklift operator license.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate various types of material handling equipment safely and effectively.
  • Capability to perform tasks requiring significant physical exertion, including Lifting (up to 60 lbs) and standing for extended periods.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse Safety procedures and best practices.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced logistics environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Must wear required PPE, such as safety vests, steel-toed boots, and gloves.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts as required.
