Job Summary:
Our Indianapolis, Indiana warehouse is seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to maintain the accuracy and efficiency of our stock. This role is critical to our supply chain and requires a candidate with exceptional organizational skills and a keen eye for detail. You will be responsible for overseeing inventory processes, minimizing discrepancies, and ensuring optimal stock levels within our logistics framework.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to verify stock accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in inventory records and physical counts.
  • Utilize Warehouse Management System (WMS) software to track inventory movements and update records.
  • Develop and refine inventory control procedures to enhance accuracy and reduce losses.
  • Monitor inventory levels, identify slow-moving or obsolete stock, and recommend adjustments.
  • Ensure proper labeling and organization of all warehouse inventory.
  • Collaborate with receiving, shipping, and operations teams to ensure seamless inventory flow.
  • Generate detailed inventory reports for management, highlighting key metrics and trends.
  • Implement best practices in inventory management to optimize space and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety standards, including safe lifting practices and the use of PPE.
  • Support the broader logistics team by providing accurate inventory data.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
  • Proficiency in using WMS and other inventory management software.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks associated with inventory management, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Understanding of warehouse operations, logistics, and supply chain principles.
  • Experience with cycle counting methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Commitment to adhering to safety guidelines and wearing required PPE.
