Our St. Louis, Missouri distribution center is seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to lead our operations team. The Warehouse Supervisor will oversee daily warehouse activities, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to all safety standards within our logistics network. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of warehouse management systems and best practices.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of warehouse staff, including picking, packing, shipping, and receiving.
- Ensure all logistics operations are conducted in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate warehouse personnel.
- Implement and enforce safety policies, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and proper use of PPE.
- Manage inventory control processes to maintain accuracy and minimize discrepancies.
- Optimize workflow and space utilization within the warehouse.
- Operate and maintain warehouse equipment, ensuring it is in good working order.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and promote a culture of safety.
- Handle employee issues and performance management.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
- Manage tasks involving significant Lifting and physical demands by staff, ensuring appropriate training and safety measures are in place.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience (3+ years) in a warehouse supervisory role.
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics best practices.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Proficiency in implementing and enforcing safety protocols, including PPE usage.
- Experience overseeing tasks involving heavy Lifting and material handling.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Must be able to work flexible hours and adapt to changing priorities.
