Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to move, load, unload, and stack materials and products.
- Perform pre-operation inspections on forklifts to ensure they are in safe working condition.
- Safely maneuver forklifts in congested warehouse environments.
- Transport inventory to and from receiving, storage, and shipping areas.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory levels by properly stocking and organizing items.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate PPE.
- Follow all traffic and safety rules within the warehouse premises.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately to your supervisor.
- Participate in warehouse safety training and maintain a safety-conscious attitude.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification (e.g., OSHA-compliant).
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of forklift safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Strong spatial awareness and hand-eye coordination.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Basic understanding of warehouse logistics.
- Must be able to work flexible hours as needed.
