Join our dynamic warehouse team in Grand Rapids, Michigan, as a Picker/Packer. This role is essential for accurately and efficiently preparing customer orders for shipment. You will be responsible for both picking items from inventory and packing them securely. We are looking for motivated individuals with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to upholding our high standards of quality and safety . This position is a key contributor to our logistics success, ensuring our customers receive their orders correctly and on time.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick specified items from warehouse inventory using pick lists or handheld scanners.
- Verify product information (SKU, quantity, description) against order requirements.
- Pack picked items into appropriate shipping containers, using correct packaging materials and methods to prevent damage.
- Ensure all orders are accurately assembled and prepared for shipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and report any discrepancies to supervisors.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Properly wear and utilize all required PPE while on duty.
- Assist with other warehouse duties, such as receiving and stocking, as needed.
- Contribute to team goals by collaborating with colleagues and supervisors.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in picking, packing, or general warehouse operations is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret order forms and product labels.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach for extended periods.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accuracy in picking and packing.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of warehouse procedures and inventory management.
