We are hiring a skilled Forklift Operator for our busy facility in Orlando, Florida. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving materials throughout the warehouse. This role is critical to maintaining smooth operations, ensuring timely handling of goods for inbound and outbound shipments. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently to move, load, and unload materials.
- Transport raw materials, finished goods, and other items within the warehouse.
- Perform routine inspections of forklift equipment before and after shifts, reporting any issues.
- Stack and organize inventory in designated areas, ensuring stability and accessibility.
- Assist with receiving and shipping operations as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including strict adherence to PPE requirements.
- Accurately record movement of inventory using WMS or other tracking systems.
- Participate in cycle counts and inventory verification.
- Contribute to a culture of safety and efficiency in all aspects of the job.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management.
- Excellent attention to detail and focus on accuracy.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all guidelines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is a plus.
