We are on the lookout for a Data Scientist SME with a strong background in big data and visualization, to significantly contribute to the Command Audit and Execution Review (CAER) program. This pivotal position involves utilizing complex datasets to propel financial management initiatives across Army commands globally. The perfect candidate will blend technical acumen in data analytics and visualization (with an emphasis on dashboards created using the Tableau platform) with strategic insights into Army financial systems and management to tell the story the data reveals.
Responsibilities:
Big Data Mastery:
Engineer and deploy sophisticated big data dashboards and analytics story telling solutions to bolster decision-making. Visualization Expertise:
Craft compelling data visualizations and dashboards using Tableau, turning complex datasets into clear insights. Strategic Influence:
Offer data-driven insights to senior leadership, optimizing financial management strategies and operational efficiencies. Effective Collaboration:
Work closely with stakeholders to refine analytical approaches, ensuring organizational goals are met. Exhibit superior communication skills for executive-level engagement. Qualifications:
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor's or master's degree in Mathematics, Engineering, or related fields. Advanced degree (Ph.D.) preferred/desired. Professional Experience:
At least 10-15 years of relevant experience, including 5+ years in Army Financial Management, with proven skills in data science, big data, and visualization, particularly in Tableau. Security Clearance:
Must have Secret clearance. Technical Proficiency:
Skilled in Cprobe, Qlik Sense, Tableau, PowerBI, R Studio, and MS Office Suite. Desirable Experience:
Experience with HQDA, ASA(FM&C), Army PPBES, and military organization financial management is highly valued. Employee Benefits:
