Protective Enforcement Officer

The primary duties of this position involve detecting and questioning individuals suspected of violating immigration laws, inspecting documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations. You will also prevent and apprehend aliens and smugglers at or near the borders by maintaining surveillance from covert positions using various technologies such as infrared scopes during night operations.

In addition to these responsibilities, you will interpret tracks marks other physical evidence related to illegal entry; perform farm building traffic checks city patrols transportation checks; patrol international boundaries coastal waterways utilizing government assets such as vehicles horses vessels etc for accomplishing USBP Mission objectives.

• You must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to GL-9 grade level performing duties like searching detained individuals their vehicles surroundings for weapons contraband currency evidence arresting physically restraining working with law enforcement officials identifying apprehending violators preparing investigative reports serving court orders gathering criminal case evidence;
  or current/previous LEO/military LE experience qualifying GS-11 grade level;
