This position involves detecting and questioning people suspected of violating immigration laws, inspecting documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations, preventing and apprehending undocumented noncitizens at or near the borders, interpreting tracks and physical evidence of illegal entry, performing farm checks, building checks, traffic checks, city patrols, transportation checks

• Strong analytical skills are required for border patrol work as agents need to make sound judgments in emergency situations.
• Detailed knowledge of law enforcement procedures is necessary for effective communication with colleagues and the public.
  
• Frequent travel may be involved in order
