We are seeking an experienced web developer to design and build a phone number directory website. This platform will function similarly to well-known caller ID and phone lookup websites such as Applicants must have prior experience building searchable, database-driven directory sites.
Project Overview
The goal is to create a scalable phone number directory that allows users to search phone numbers, view reports, and submit their own feedback. The website must be structured for SEO growth and high traffic volume.
Required Experience
• Proven experience building directory or database-driven websites
• Strong backend development skills
• Experience creating search and filtering functionality
• Ability to structure large datasets efficiently
• Knowledge of SEO-friendly architecture for high-volume keyword pages
• Experience with user-generated content systems
• Familiarity with moderation tools and spam protection
Experience building projects similar to 800notes or other reverse lookup/number reporting platforms is strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop the website architecture and database structure
• Create fast, scalable phone number search functionality
• Build number profile pages dynamically
• Implement user submission and comment systems
• Develop admin dashboard for moderation and content management
• Ensure mobile responsiveness and fast page load speeds
• Integrate basic security measures and spam control
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with schema markup and structured data
• Understanding of scalable hosting solutions
• Knowledge of compliance considerations for publishing phone number information
Project Scope
This may begin as a contract project with potential for ongoing development and maintenance.

Contract duration of more than 6 months. with 10 hours per week.
