Job Title: EDIA Administrative Coordinator
Reports to: EDIA Lead
Employment Status: Full-time, one year contract
Working Conditions: Office environment, hybrid schedule.
Job Summary:
Provide administrative and logistical support to the EDIA department, including areas of community engagement, conference and event planning, research, and funding.

Entry Level Criteria:
- Education: Degree or Diploma in Business or Administration or equivalent
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Suite (Teams, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Educational, professional and/or personal experience in the EDIA space and working with traditionally underrepresented and marginalized groups
- Proven ability to collaborate and support the development of new resources and initiatives
- Experience providing research and logistical support
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Administrative Support for the EDIA Department
- Provide comprehensive administrative support for EDIA programs and the EDIA team
- Coordinate logistics for meetings
- Field enquiries from partners and the general public
- Support other staff members in their duties as it relates back to the EDIA department
- Monitor and track budgets, funding streams, and other resources.
Community Engagement Support
- Provide logistical support for the planning and execution of conferences, workshops, and other community education initiatives
- Schedule and book speakers, locations, and catering as directed
- Track engagement metrics and develop monitoring and reporting strategies
- Handle or field issues as they arise and provide day-of support for participants
EDIA and Para Strategy Support
- Coordinate with partners and SNS staff to support EDIA and Para initiatives
- Provide administrative and logistical support for the maintenance of current EDIA programs and new initiatives
- Update and circulate EDIA and Parasport educational material as directed
- Attend and support strategic planning and evaluation meetings
- Provide tracking and logistical support for the Parasport Equipment Loan Program
- Provide administrative support for the Parasport Athlete Engagement Council and other programs
Funding and Research Strategy
- Stay up to date on provincial and federal legislation and initiatives that may impact EDIA programming
- Research EDIA and Parasport strategies, programs, and funding opportunities
- Develop reporting and data analysis strategies in order to share the results of this research and support Sport NS EDIA initiatives
Team Participation
- Build and maintain effective and collaborative networks and relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
- Participate regularly in staff meetings, events, and staff training
- Participate in OH&S Committee and Connections Committee
