About The Role
Our Commercial Lines team is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Commercial Surety Coordinator for a summer contract. This opportunity is ideal for an early careers professional interested in finance, risk management, insurance, or business operations who is looking to gain hands-on experience in commercial surety and bonding.
Working closely with surety brokers and account managers, you will support the administration of contract and commercial bonds while gaining exposure to financial analysis, client service, and insurer coordination.
What You'll Do
Assist with the preparation and processing of contract and commercial bond documentation
Support bond renewals, amendments, and issuance tracking
Review client financial information and supporting documentation for completeness
Coordinate with surety underwriters to facilitate timely bond approvals and issuance
Prepare bond summaries, status reports, and internal tracking documents
Maintain accurate records within broker management systems
Respond to routine client and internal inquiries in a professional manner
Assist with special projects and process improvements within the surety team
Qualifications and expertise that pave the way for Success
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Comfortable reviewing financial documents (e.g., balance sheets, income statements)
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

The expected salary range for this position is $18-20/h and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate's skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position's business line, scope and level.
