Director, Product Group Engineering Lead (Data and AI/ML)

Delivering intelligent, real-time insights into customer behavior, preferences, and business performance is central to how Priceline personalizes experiences and optimizes outcomes. This role leads the engineering vision and execution for the Customer & Business Insights Platform, powering personalization, experimentation, analytics, and AI-driven decision systems at scale. From large-scale customer data processing to experimentation frameworks and insight generation, you'll design and evolve the platforms that transform data into strategic advantage.

In this role you will get to:

• Define and execute the technical strategy for Priceline's Customer & Business Insights platform — a unified ecosystem for customer data, experimentation, and intelligence.

• Lead multiple global engineering teams delivering highly available, privacy-compliant data products that serve analytics, personalization, and machine-learning use cases.
  Architect and scale end-to-end pipelines for customer profiles, behavioral data, and real-time insights that drive actionable intelligence.

• Collaborate closely with product, data science, and ML platform teams to deliver reusable components that accelerate innovation and experimentation velocity.

• Champion data quality, observability, and governance, ensuring all insight products meet enterprise standards for trust, accuracy, and compliance.

• Drive engineering excellence, automation, and continuous improvement across delivery pipelines — focusing on scalability, performance, and developer productivity.

• Mentor, coach, and grow talent within distributed engineering teams, fostering a culture of curiosity, collaboration, and accountability.

• Engage with leadership and stakeholders across marketing, product, and analytics to align technical priorities with Priceline's personalization and business-insight goals.

Who you are:

• 10 + years of experience in software or data engineering, with at least 5 years leading teams that build large-scale data or AI/ML platforms.

• Proven expertise in data architecture, streaming pipelines, data modeling, and experimentation frameworks (GCP preferred).

• Demonstrated success in building customer 360 or analytics platforms that deliver real-time insights and personalization.

• Hands-on experience with modern data technologies (BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Vertex AI, Spark, Kafka, Airflow / Composer, dbt, etc.).

• Strong understanding of data privacy, governance, and compliance principles (GDPR, CCPA, PII handling).

• Excellent collaborator who thrives in cross-functional environments and can translate complex data solutions into business impact.

• Strategic thinker with the ability to balance long-term platform vision with near-term delivery.

There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. In addition to a competitive base salary, certain roles may be eligible for an annual bonus and/or equity grant.

The salary range for this position is $170,000 to $200,000K CAD
