Job Description: As a member of Mental Health and Addiction Services, the Community Mental Health Nurse is an integral member of the multidisciplinary team providing intensive case management to individuals with chronic and persistent mental illness. These services are provided within an individual and group context. Responsibilities include intensive case management, medication management, crisis intervention, counselling, goal planning, consultation to community agencies, group/community education, student mentoring, documentation, client/family and public education, advocacy, and mental health promotion. This position is for Seniors Mental Health.

Experience
- Requires a minimum of three years experience in a community or acute mental health setting working with clients with severe and persistent mental illness.
Education
- Bachelor of Psychiatric Nursing (BPN)
Licenses
- Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)
Other Education and Training
- Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)
- Psychiatric Nursing diploma is acceptable
- Bachelor of Nursing is acceptable
- Workplace Assessment & Violence Education (WAVE)
- Current CPR certification
- Nursing diploma is acceptable

Knowledge and Abilities
- Ability to respond under pressure.
- Knowledge in industry best practices and software solutions
