Job Description: Under the direction of a Program Manager and as part of an interdisciplinary team, the Social Worker MSW provides a range of screening, triage, assessment, treatment and case coordination services to a primarily adult community mental health and addiction population. The incumbent provides program consultation, evaluation of clinical interventions, preceptor students in formal clinical practicum and provides professional and public education regarding mental health and addiction issues and resources. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement"

  • 1 year recognized postgraduate experience in community MHAS

Education

  • Master of Social Work (MSW)

  • Exp. in mental health & addictions community outreach & crisis interventions

  • Able to work independently in a self motivated manner & respond under pressure
  • Knowledge and practical application of the Mental Health Services Act and Health Information Protection Act and other legislation

  • This position works with the Regina Domestic Violence Court. Professional experience working in the area of family violence and intimate partner abuse will be an asset.
