As a Border Protection Officer , you will play a vital role in safeguarding America's borders and protecting its citizens. You will be part of an elite team of highly trained professionals who work together to prevent and detect illicit activity, while also ensuring the free flow of legitimate trade and travel.

• Detect and question individuals suspected of violating immigration laws, inspect documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations.
• Prevent and apprehend undocumented noncitizens and smugglers at or near the borders by maintaining surveillance from covert positions using infrared scopes during night operations.

• Must possess one (1) year general work experience that demonstrates ability to take charge, make sound decisions & maintain composure in stressful situations OR bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement based on class standing, GPA (3.0/4.0), or honor society membership


• A combination of experience & education is considered for GL-7 level requirement for specialized skills such as firearms use & law enforcement decision-making under high pressure circumstances
