This position is open to individuals interested in a challenging and rewarding career with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). As a CBP officer, you will play a critical role in safeguarding the country's borders and enforcing laws related to imports, exports, and international trade.
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be able to make rapid judgments under pressure, and demonstrate proficiency in law enforcement techniques. Experience working with customs regulations or immigration laws is highly desirable.
Skill Requirements:
The selected applicant must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level that includes:
- Detaining suspected violators of federal state or local laws
- Enforcing the rules relating to importing exporting
