To excel in this role, you must possess one or more years general work experience that demonstrates your ability to take charge make sound decisions maintain composure in stressful situations learn regulations methods techniques classroom training on-the-job instruction gather concise information through questioning observation examination documents records OR education substitution bachelor degree successful completion full four-year course study leading bachelor degree from accredited college university combination experience education calculated using resume official unofficial transcripts submitted application GL-7 grade level requires specialized work experience shows skills necessary make sound judgments decisions use firearms effectively deal people courteous tactful manner law enforcement matters analyze information rapidly make prompt decisions after required training apply these skills law enforcement capacity criminal code enforcement determining violations laws correctional rehabilitation work involving criminal offenders security military etc.
