About the Position:
The U.S. Border Patrol is hiring for entry-level, full-time career law enforcement officer opportunities as a Border Patrol Agent (BPA) .
- This position provides an opportunity to work with an elite team of highly trained professionals in a challenging and rewarding role that requires making sound judgments and decisions in high-pressure situations.
- BPA duties include detecting and questioning people suspected of violating immigration laws, inspecting documents and possessions, preventing undocumented noncitizens from entering the country, and performing farm checks, building checks, traffic checks, city patrols, transportation checks.
Duties & Responsibilities:
The following are typical assignments for this position:
1. Detecting individuals suspected of violating customs or immigration laws
2. Interpreting tracks marks other physical evidence related to illegal border crossings
3. Conduct routine patrol operations along international borders coastlines using specialized equipment including vehicles horses watercraft snowmobiles motorcycles ATVs etc.
