Border Patrol Agent Job Summary

The United States Border Patrol is seeking highly motivated and dedicated individuals to fill the role of Border Patrol Agent. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for enforcing federal laws and regulations at U.S. borders.

• Detecting and questioning individuals suspected of violating immigration laws and inspecting documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations


• Preventing and apprehending undocumented noncitizens and smugglers of noncitizens at or near the borders by maintaining surveillance from covert positions


• Interpreting and following tracks, marks, and other physical evidence of illegal entry of persons or contraband


• Fulfilling farm checks, building checks, traffic checks, city patrols, transportation checks patrol international boundaries with various assets such as vehicles horses vessels watercraft off-road vehicles ATVs snowmobiles motorcycles
