A Border Patrol Agent is a critical component in safeguarding America by preventing illegal activities and securing its borders.

This role requires individuals with exceptional communication skills, who can work effectively under pressure. As part of our large workforce,
BPAs strive to maintain public trust while making every day count through diligent efforts towards their daily mission. 

• Interrogating or inspecting documents to identify individuals suspected of violating immigration laws. Preventing undocumented noncitizens from crossing the border or smuggling contraband into US soil; analyzing footprints/tracks/marks left behind during night surveillance operations using infrared scopes/li>. Developing/maintaining contact networks among informants within communities along boundaries/li>
  Patrolling areas near international borders/coastlines/waterways
  using vehicles/off-road vehicles/horses/vessels/watercraft/etc.
  To accomplish objectives efficiently without disrupting local traffic,
  bicycles/AZs/snowmobiles/etc., also help maintain an atmosphere conducive
  to friendly encounters at checkpoints throughout assigned sectors around country - all pursuant one law enforcement’s primary goal: protect American citizens’ safety!

In this challenging yet rewarding career, BPAs are expected to uphold high standards of professionalism and integrity. They must be able to analyze complex situations, make informed decisions, and take decisive actions when necessary.
