The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is seeking highly motivated individuals to join its elite team of law enforcement officers as Border Patrol Agents. These agents play a vital role in safeguarding America's borders, deterring illicit activity, and enhancing the nation's economic prosperity.
As a BPA, you will be part of our 60,000+ workforce that strives to protect the American people by maintaining surveillance from covert positions during night operations using infrared scopes. You will detect and question people suspected of violating immigration laws, inspect documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Detecting suspicious activities at international ports
- Maintaining contact with networks of informants
- Analyzing information rapidly making prompt decisions based on evidence collected through questioning observation records
- Collaborating with other agencies such as customs service security services
