A BPA executes numerous tasks aimed at detecting and preventing illicit activity along the country's international boundary with Canada or Mexico as well as throughout its coastal waters and territorial sea.

• Detects suspected violations of customs laws while questioning individuals to inspect their documents and possessions.

You will engage in surveillance activities using covert positions including infrared scopes during nighttime operations when necessary and interpreting physical evidence such as tracks marks etc., that could relate to people or contraband attempting illegal entry into the United States.

• Patrols international boundaries using various government assets like motorcycles snowmobiles off-road vehicles ATVs watercraft vessels horses marine craft boats federal aircraft aircraft helicopter surfboards jet skis other mobile equipment regularly used across U.S. Customs -Custom Enforcement (CBP).
