• This role involves enforcing customs, immigration, and agriculture laws as well as facilitating trade and travel within the United States.

The officer's primary responsibilities include conducting inspections of individuals and conveyances while determining admissibility for entry into the U.S., preventing illegal entry of prohibited goods and contraband, handling law enforcement duties such as arresting those involved in illicit activities.
