Job Description:
This position is part of the Department of Homeland Security workforce that protects American interests and secures our nation. As a Customs and Border Protection Officer (CBPO), you will work with an elite team to safeguard our borders by deterring illicit activity and enhancing economic prosperity.
- Enforce customs, immigration, and agriculture laws to prevent unauthorized entry into the United States.
- Detect threats such as smuggling or human trafficking using law enforcement methods.
- Maintain relations with international partners to ensure compliance with global trade regulations.
Skills Required:
The selected candidate must have specialized experience equivalent to at least one lower grade level in applying regulations, instructions, and procedures for importing/exporting merchandise. They should be able to make rapid judgments regarding persons entering or departing from U.S., Guam etc.
In addition,
it would be advantageous if they had knowledge in behavioral analysis of threats through interview processes.
