Border Patrol Agent Job Description
About the Role

Job Responsibilities
- Detect and question people suspected of violating immigration and customs laws.
Requirements for Success:
- A minimum one year of general work experience demonstrating the ability to take charge, make sound decisions, maintain composure in stressful situations, learn regulations methods techniques through classroom training or on-the-job instruction gather concise information through questioning observation examination documents records.

As a newly appointed Border Patrol Agent you will be eligible select from these benefits once hired.
The first incentive is up to $20 000 paid upon successful completion of the Border Patrol Academy followed by remaining balance awarded accepting prioritized location which includes Sierra Blanca TX Presidio TX Sanderson TX Comstock TX Lordsburg NM Freer TX Hebbronville TX Ajo AZ Prioritized locations include various US regions depending on operational needs.
The second incentive applies only new appointees totaling up to $40 000 distributed over four years as retention incentives after completing required initial phase formal training already mentioned earlier such duties responsibilities typical assignments performance farm checks building checks traffic city patrols transportation inspections additional important tasks involved maintaining national border integrity overall job objective protecting American citizens ensuring homeland security keeping communities safe efficient functioning environment contributing society advancement progress growth better living conditions etc.
