Border Patrol Agent Job Overview
Job Description As a Border Patrol Agent, you will play a critical role in safeguarding the nation's borders and protecting its citizens. Your primary responsibilities will include detecting and questioning individuals suspected of violating immigration laws, inspecting documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations, preventing and apprehending undocumented noncitizens and smugglers of noncitizens at or near the borders, interpreting physical evidence of illegal entry of persons or contraband, performing farm checks, building checks, traffic checks, city patrols, and transportation checks.
The work is physically demanding but also highly rewarding for those who are passionate about law enforcement. You will have opportunities to develop your skills through training programs such as firearms instruction
