The Customs and Border Protection Officer is a dynamic position that requires a unique blend of law enforcement skills, customs knowledge, and interpersonal abilities.
This role involves enforcing customs, immigration, and agriculture laws to ensure the security of our borders while facilitating legitimate trade and travel. You will be responsible for conducting inspections, interviewing individuals in a law enforcement capacity, and making rapid judgments regarding regulations compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enforcing customs regulations
- Determining admissibility for entry into the United States
- Conducting inspections of individuals and conveyances
You must meet certain physical fitness standards as well as successfully complete training programs at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC).
