Job Description
The U.S. Border Patrol offers a career opportunity to work with an elite team of highly trained professionals who are dedicated to safeguarding the nation's borders, deterring illicit activity, and enhancing economic prosperity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Detect and question individuals suspected of violating immigration laws
- Prevent and apprehend undocumented noncitizens and smugglers of noncitizens at or near the borders by maintaining surveillance from covert positions
- Interpret and follow tracks, marks, and other physical evidence of illegal entry of persons or contraband
- Perform farm checks, building checks, traffic checks, city patrols , transportation checks
- Patrol the international boundary and coastal waterways using government assets such as vehicles , horses , vessels , off-road vehicles ATVs snowmobiles motorcycles for accomplishment USBP Mission .
h2 Required Skills Qualifications / h2

i A bachelor ' s degree in any field from an accredited college or university OR One year general work experience that demonstrates ability take charge make sound decisions maintain composure stressful situations learn regulations methods techniques classroom training on-the-job instruction gather concise information questioning observation examination documents records ; < /i>
a high school diploma AND one year specialized law enforcement military experience which includes dealing effectively people courteous manner connection law enforcement matters analyzing rapidly making prompt decisions use firearms after completion required training applying skills criminal code enforcement determining violations correctional rehabilitation security etc;.
