• Enforcing regulations related to importing/exporting merchandise from/to the United States.


• Conducting inspections of individuals/conveyances for potential threats/illegal activities.


• Determining admissibility of individuals into the United States/preventing illegal entry/smuggling contraband.

You'll undergo comprehensive training at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in Glynco, GA. The CBP Field Operations Academy covers basic law enforcement skills, immigration laws/firearms training/examination of cargo/bags/merchandise. Spanish language training is required for southern border/Puerto Rico duty locations candidates.
